Romeo P. Arniego, MD, AFSC Library
The Romeo P. Ariniego, MD, AFSC Library at De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute opened on January 3, 2010, replacing the Medicine Library and Satellite Libraries that had served since 1994. Initiated in 2008 under Br. Gus Boquer’s leadership, the seven-storey modern facility houses library services, classrooms, and the Romeo P. Ariniego Gallery, and is located between the Wang and College of Medicine buildings. It integrates natural lighting, green surroundings, and spaces for both academic and artistic enrichment.
In 2019, the Library received the Innovative Library Design Award from PAARL for its functional and adaptive design. A significant expansion followed with the Learning Commons, a four-storey addition with more study areas and an auditorium, which broke ground in February 2022 and opened in December 2023.
