College of Medicine

Founded in 1977 by the University Physicians Foundation, Inc., the Emilio Aguinaldo College of Medicine in Dasmariñas, Cavite, aimed to support regional healthcare and education. It opened in 1979 with key hospitals like the Dr. Jose P. Rizal National Medical Research Center. In 1987, De La Salle University (DLSU) took over, renaming it De La Salle University College of Medicine and its hospital the DLSU Medical Center.

The institution expanded over the years, adding new buildings and colleges, including Nursing and Medical Radiation Technology. In 2007, it was renamed De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI) to solidify its mission as a leading healthcare and education provider.
