Additional Requirements For Foreign Medicine Applicants

I. Requirements Upon Admission

(To be submitted to The Registrar Admission, Scholarship and Testing Section (TR-ASTS))


All foreign applicants are required to submit the following documents:

  1. Photocopy of valid passport;
  2. Birth certificate;
  3. Photocopy of Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) – applicable to permanent residents, native-born individuals, children of diplomats, or holders of any valid visa.


II. College-Specific Requirement

Foreign students are required to obtain a:

  • Certificate of Completion for Improving Tagalog Communication Skills.

This entails enrollment in FilKom 1 (Filipino Komunikasyon 1), which is offered during the first semester and serves as a prerequisite to FilKom 2. This course is provided by the Language Training and Professional Development Unit, free of charge through the International Student Relations Unit (ISRU).

III. Immigration Processing Requirements

(To be submitted to The Registrar - Liaison and External Relations Section (TR-LERS) once officially enrolled)

A. Documents to be Submitted by the Student:

  1. Special Study Permit (SSP) – applicable to foreign students studying for less than one year or who are below 18 years of age;
  2. Student Visa;
  3. NBI Clearance;
  4. Medical Certificate issued by a Level III Accredited Hospital, printed on the hospital’s official letterhead;
  5. CEM Requirements (Applicable only for Medicine);
  6. Drug Test Result;
  7. Two (2) pieces of 2x2 ID photographs;
  8. Original and photocopy of the following:
  • Passport bio page;
  • Latest arrival immigration admission stamp.


B. Documents to be Prepared and Issued by the Registrar:

  1. Request Letter addressed to the Commissioner of the Bureau of Immigration;
  2. Accomplished BI Application Form (BI Form CGAF-003-Rev 0);
  3. Letter of Acceptance addressed to the Bureau of Immigration;
  4. Certificate of Enrollment;
  5. Copy of the BI School Accreditation ID of the Registrar.
